As Community Bank (CBNA) continues its strategic expansion into New York and New England, we’ve been proud to partner with their team on a growing portfolio of projects that bring modern, community-focused banking environments to life. The recent grand opening of CBNA’s Bedford branch marks the first of many new locations in this next phase of growth—creating jobs, enhancing customer service, and strengthening local connections across the region.
Over the course of this year alone, our team designed and project-managed more than 25 CBNA branches, spanning new builds, renovations, and signage updates. Each project reflects CBNA’s commitment to accessibility, convenience, and a welcoming customer experience—while responding to the unique character of the surrounding community.
A Suburban-Inspired, Open Concept Design
The 2,564-square-foot Bedford branch was designed around a suburban residential theme, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere from the moment customers arrive. Inside, an open floor plan promotes visibility and ease of movement while supporting both customer interaction and operational efficiency.
The interior program includes a comfortable waiting area, two teller pods, private offices, a conference room, an employee lounge, and a two-lane drive-up—ensuring the branch meets the needs of both customers and staff.
Modern Materials Inside and Out
The exterior features a refreshed, modern aesthetic using a mix of materials, including rockcast stone veneer with a smooth stone texture, wood paneling, and metal coping. The canopy introduces a bold pop of CBNA’s signature orange, adding energy and brand recognition to the façade. Large windows were intentionally incorporated to flood the interior with natural light, reinforcing the welcoming feel of the space.
Inside, the branch carries a clean, contemporary look with soft, natural finishes, warm millwork, and modern furnishings. Bright, modern lighting enhances the openness of the space, while a wood slat ceiling in the lobby adds texture, dimension, and continuity with the natural material palette.
Designed for the Community
Environmental graphics play a key role in connecting the branch to its surroundings. From the “Hello Bedford” wall graphic at the entry to imagery featuring local landmarks throughout the space, the design pays tribute to the town and reinforces CBNA’s strong community-first approach.
This branch is a clear example of how thoughtful design can support CBNA’s mission—making banking more accessible, convenient, and personal.
