NES Spotlight: Tia LaBrecque — Rising Star of the U.S. Women’s National Deaf Soccer Team

At just 16 years old, Tia LaBrecque is already making her mark on the world stage. A Bishop Feehan High School junior and one of the youngest players on the U.S. Women’s National Deaf Soccer Team, Tia is preparing to represent her country at the 2025 Tokyo Deaflympics.

Our own Katie Burns sat down with Tia for an exclusive NES Spotlight interview to learn more about her journey — from her first introduction to soccer to what drives her passion for the game today. She shares how she balances school, training, and life as an elite athlete, all while inspiring those around her with her determination and humility.

As part of our continued commitment to supporting meaningful stories and community impact, NES Group proudly donated $5,000 on Tia’s behalf to Unheard Of, the upcoming documentary highlighting the incredible journey of the U.S. Women’s Deaf National Team.

Tia’s story is a reminder that with heart, drive, and the right support, young talent can go far — both on and off the field.
