An Exceptional Branch Transformation for Hartford Federal Credit Union

When Hartford Federal Credit Union acquired Workers’ Federal Credit Union, they also obtained their former headquarters location. After operating out of the existing space for some time, they were eager to alter the branch and create an environment that would reflect their brand. To improve their member experience and equip their employees with updated technology, Hartford Federal Credit Union partnered with NES Group for a branch transformation.

The renewed outward look welcomes members with a classic brick exterior, additional parking, new exterior signage, and a new drive-up window and canopy. Interior renovations included a completely new layout for the branch and teller line and contemporary finishes, millwork, and furniture.

The 2,420 square foot branch has an open lobby with a waiting area, a four-person teller line, three offices, a conference room, and a breakroom. Hartford Federal Credit Union’s colorful branding palette allowed our designers to utilize vibrant finishes and textiles, making the environment even more welcoming and refreshing.

The full mural in the waiting area portrays the historic Warren Woolen Company Mill, which originated in Stafford and became America’s prominent manufacturer of woolen fabrics and cashmere. This added piece of history helps remind Hartford Federal Credit Union’s members of the crucial role their community once had in the country’s manufacturing industry.

We’re proud to have partnered with Hartford Federal Credit Union to achieve their creative potential within this space and provide the design, architecture, and project management for this branch transformation!
